The Importance Of Being Earnest
Meet Jack and Algernon, two dashing bachelors with a terrible habit of fabricating alter egos to escape boring social obligations and woo the ladies.
Everything is delightfully deceitful until they both fall head-over-heels for women who have one non-negotiable requirement for a husband: his name must be Earnest!
Prepare as the Garden Theatre Festival Repertory company take on mistaken identities, sharp-witted banter, outrageous social critiques, and the formidable Lady Bracknell!
Will they untangle their web of lies or eat too many Cucumber Sandwiches?
2nd July - 12th July
Sense and Sensibility
Are you ready for a whirlwind of feathered bonnets, dramatic letter-writing, and deeply repressed feelings? Then Jane Austen’s classic tale, Sense and Sensibility, gets the theatrical treatment that you need! Proving that heartbreak and bad weather were just as stylish in 1811 as they are now.
When the kind-hearted and newly impoverished Dashwood sisters—pragmatic Elinor and passionately romantic Marianne—are forced to relocate to a tiny cottage, they find themselves navigating the treacherous social waters of Georgian England. Looking for a man with a pocket full of coins and a house with at least three pillars on the front; balls, banquets and proposals await!
The Garden Theatre Festival return with their second hilarious adaptation of a Jane Austen novel after the smashing success of Pride and Prejudice ( GTF 2025 & Bath Abby 2026). A celebration of all things Austentious in the Georgian gardens of the Holburne Museum.
Join us for a glorious, witty romp through emotional extremes. With foolish societal satire, dazzling ballroom dances, and some rather joyful multi-rolling. This is the one show not to miss this summer!
14th July - 26th July
Come on a madcap, rock 'n' roll musical journey of plotting and scheming with folklore's most notorious villain - The Big Bad Wolf. Exiled to the Deep Dark Wood, he parties hard and rocks out every night with his cronies, far away from the goody-goody townspeople of Fairytaleville. But whatever happened to Little Red Riding Hood? Did the Three Little Pigs go on to have a successful career in techno music? Does his Fairy Godmother have what it takes to change the ways of a hardened carnivore?
Join us for this brilliant high-energy show, bursting with live music, punk attitude, and plenty of serious silliness.

The Big Bad Wolf
The Three Inch Fools present an epic tale of Arthurian adventure and medieval mayhem.
In a land of daring quests, dashing knights, and endless jousting, there lived a would-be hero - waiting in the wings - who went by the name of Arthur. But when Camelot is rocked to its core by a tragic - and frankly improbable - incident involving a large table of an undisclosed shape, Arthur is thrust into the quest of a lifetime. Will he bravely battle through blistering cold and scorching fire to save his beloved realm, or will he crumble as fate refuses to cooperate? Destiny awaits, chivalry calls, and the quest to end all quests begins. Saddle up - things are about to get legendary.
The Garden Theatre Festival are proud to welcome back our friends The Three Inch Fools, for one night of theatre in June at this wonderful ‘Pop up’ event. Expect all the usual fantastic theatre of GTF, but a little less infrastructure. We won't have our usual tent for this event, and will also have a smaller number of deck chairs. With that in mind, please do bring your own seating and dress for the weather. The Fools turn up rain or shine.
Picnics welcome. Dogs can come too.
